Peng Gao is a Ph.D. student in Department of Electrical Engineering at Princeton University, working with Prof. Prateek Mittal and Prof. Sanjeev R. Kulkarni on computer security. Peng will be joining UC Berkeley EECS as a postdoc, working with Prof. Dawn Song in January 2019. His research lies in the domains of systems security, software security, and network security, and centers on building scalable systems & tools to solve real-world security problems. He has first-author publications in top security and systems conferences like USENIX Security, ACM CCS, and USENIX ATC. His work in audit logging and forensics was selected as one of the top-10 finalists for CSAW’18 Best Applied Security Research Competition. He did several internships in industry and his work was adopted by companies like Microsoft, NEC Laboratories America, and Facebook. He received his B.E. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2013.
