Bio: I lead the Java Compiler Team at Google. A large part of our work focuses on lightweight static analysis to prevent bugs from entering Google’s Java codebase. We provide our bug detection tool, Error Prone (, as open source and as part of the Bazel ( build system. Additionally, we provide tools that allow developers to refactor code at the scale of the whole Google codebase.
